My Business Life

I’ve been an entrepreneur for two decades and a business consultant for three. Here are my current projects.

Click Collab

Unifying communities to reach Zero DFV.

Over the past decade, awareness of domestic and family violence (DFV) has surged across Australian communities, sparking the rise of community-led prevention efforts such as educational programs, response and support services, advocacy, fundraising events, and rallies.

While the increased momentum is welcome, community stakeholders have identified several emerging challenges hampering the community’s progress toward a Zero DFV future.

Click Collab addresses these challenges through a yearly cycle of collaboration.

Emerging from the process is the Zero DFV Navbook, which the community uses to coordinate activity throughout the year. Click Collab supports their journey to success and tracks the community’s progress.

Run Against Violence

Building communities where family violence no longer lives.

Each year, 1000’s of walkers and runners from around the world gather online to participate in the Run Against Violence (RAV) Virtual Team Challenge. For 19 days, teams of up to 20 people chase each other across the 1300km course, virtually. It is the longest and largest event of its type in the world.

But RAV is more than just an event. Our tribe of incredible participants are leading the way in building healthy relationships and communities where family violence no longer has a role.

Funds raised through the event are invested in primary prevention initiatives.  For example,  during the past five years RAV has invested $500,000 into Love Bites, Australia’s most effective respectful relationship education program. It is the largest investment by a non-government entity in the program’s history.

Eyes Wide Open

Strategy, management and marketing to drive scale.

Many people believe that companies are most likely to fail during start-up, but that’s not the case. The struggle for sustainability is more frequently encountered during the early growth phase.

During start-up, companies are lean, the founders are energised, and their vision is clear. However, as they grow, the complexity of moving to scale presents significant challenges.

This transition often brings new hurdles, such as managing increased staff, expanding operations, and maintaining the original vision amidst rapid change.

The once-streamlined decision-making processes become more intricate, and the initial enthusiasm can be tested by the day-to-day realities of running a larger organisation.

Eyes Wide Open has supported more than 400 companies across 80 sectors to navigate their way to scale.
